Alice K. McCafferty

SEBRING - Alice K. McCafferty, 92, 800 S. 15th St., died Monday in Crandall Medical Center of Copeland Oaks.
She was born April 14, 1904 in Warren, a daughter of the late Frank W. and Gertrude Park Kilpatrick, and had lived in Sebring for 13 years, moving from Warren.
Mrs. McCafferty had been an elementary teacher for Warren City schools, retiring in 1964.
She was a graduate of Kent State and Youngstown State universities.
A member of First United Methodist Church, she also belonged to the Kappa Delta Pi Sorority, Daughters of the American Revolution, National Education Association, YWCA and AARP.
Her husband, James R. McCafferty, whom she married June 6, 1939, died Jan. 16, 1983. A daughter, Ruth Jane, died in 1946.
She leaves several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Nov. 17 at Copeland Oaks in Sebring. Burial will be in Kinsman Cemetery.
McCardell-White Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
