    Mrs. Alice Catherine Wilkie, a resident of this city and Fort Langley for 36 years, and relict of Henry Wilkie of Charlemont House, Dublin, Ireland, who was assistant registrar-general and secretary of the census commission of Ireland, before coming to Canada died yesterday morning in Victoria. The deceased lady who was born in Duncormich, County Wexford, Ireland was 93 years old and was the daughter of Rev. Richard Bentley Gordon, rector of Duncormick and grand-daughter of Rev. Jas. Bentley Gordon, the great Irish historian, whose work is still referred to in the House of Commons on Irish matters as the most impartial history of Ireland ever written.
    The late Mrs. Wilkie is suvived by five sons; William S. Wilkie, Kamploops; Otway J. J. Wilkie, Victoria; Walter Wilkie, of this city; O. B. N. Wilkie, Victoria and Gordon Wilkie, New York; and six daughters; Mrs T. McCombie, Monkstown Ireland; Mrs Appleton, Brighton Sussex, England; Mrs. Jessie Holding, Hope, B. C.; Mrs Janet Morrison, Fort Langley and Mrs Pauline Harper, Seattle.
    The funeral was held this afternnoon. Interment was made in the Fort Langley cemetery. D. Murchie and Son had charge of the funeral arrangements.
