    VanWagoner, Alice Mary Passed away on Monday, January 2, 2006 in Torrance, California. Born in Dundee, MI. Alice was 101 when she died. Alice was a long-time resident of Oxford, MI and lived with her daughter in Ann Arbor for most of the past eight years. She was a proud and accomplished teacher and student who attended both Michigan Normal College (now Eastern Michigan University) and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She was at the top of her high school class and was a member of the debate team in college. She loved music and nature. Her wisdom and grace will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by daughter Janet Baty of Ann Arbor, MI; son, James VanWagoner (daughter-in-law Anita VanWagoner) of Florence, AZ; grandson, Christopher Baty, (granddaughter-in-law Deena Baty, great-grandson Skyler Baty, and great-grand daughter Alaina Baty) of Ypsilanti, MI; grandson Gregory Baty (daughter-in-law Mirci Baty) of Foothill Ranch, CA; grandson David Baty (grand daughter-in-law Elizabeth Hall and great-grandson Spencer Baty) of Hermosa Beach, CA; granddaughter Julie Baty of Ann Arbor, MI. Proceeded in death by mother Ellen Cadaret and father Leo Cadaret and husband of 48 years Lee VanWagoner.
