(As told by Melanie Erin Lee Henry) The wife of one of Neal's friends. Alice Marie came to our house (Melanie's) many years after Ted was dead and told my mother that she had fallen for Ted but that he couldn't be involved with his friend's wife. Alice Marie's husband saw that she had fallen for Ted and took the family to California. They had too little girls. She called Ted and made up a story that her husband had been abusing her and the two little girls. Ted immediately got in the car and drove to California to get her. She divorced her husband, married Ted and lived with him for a short while. She then decided that she was harming her two daughters and went back to her first husband. she remained with him. When she visited us in the '70s she told my mother she had never loved anyone as much as Ted.
