Obituary A.B. WILLIAMS, REITER FIRM HEAD, IS DEAD

 A Brooke Williams, 64, of 5440 12th st NW, who was president and general manager of the Reiter Corp. of 1917 Henry ave SW, died in Aultman Hospital early today after a long illness.
 Reiter, the largest manufactuer of its kind in the United States, makes gong shells and components for the signal industry and mechanical bells and warning gongs for schools, factories and mines.
 Mr. Williams joined the company in 1942 after having been general manager of the former Thomas Smith Co. of Canton, manufacturer of electric signals and burglar alarms for eight years.
 Reiter has been operating in Canton since 1901.  It was moved here from Cheswick, Pa. where it was organized in 1893 as the Cheswick Mfg. Co. to make mechanical bells and skillets.
 Mr. Williams was born in Canton and was a veteran of World War I.  He was a member of Canton Rotary Club and Canton Club.
 Survivors include his widow, Elizabeth K. Williams; two daughters, Miss Betsy Williams of the home, and Mrs. Tom M. Clark of Canton; one son, Brooke K. of Detroit; his father, John P. of Hamilton; one brother, F. Donald of Wilton, Conn., and two grandchildren.
 Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Arnold funeral home.  Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
