Sailed from Liverpool on the Allan line Steamer "Germanic" April 21, 1870, and landed at Quebec, Canada, May 3rd. Children accompanying them were: David John (age 18); Albert (age 14); Isabella (age 8); Jane Webb (age 5); Kate (age 2). The family left Quebec May 3, 1870 and arrived at the Burgess Settlement, Tilbury E. Twp., Kent County, Ontario Sunday May 8, 1870, moving the same week to the George Sales home on the Middle Road, Tilbury E. Twp, remaining there until Sunday June 5 1870 when they moved to the village of Blenheim, Kent County, Ont. where Nellie Elvine was born Sept 11 1870 and George Edwin, Oct. 8, 1872.
