Alfred was one of six Fuller children who were all baptized on the same day, Feb. 1, 1857, an event appearing in the parish records of the Methodist church in Queenstown. The six consisted of three children born to James and Elizabeth Fuller and three born to Charles and Mary Ann Fuller, all grandchildren of the 1820 Settlers Henry and Susannah.
