Marjorie Cole Andrews(1923-2014) Marjorie Cole Andrews (nee Ahlman) of Elyria died on June 9th, 2014. She was born on March 19, 1923, in Willoughby, and was a graduate of Mentor High School. She worked on the administrative staff of Mentor High School, and later was a bank teller for banks in Willoughby and Laguna Beach, Calif. Marjorie loved baseball, and was an enthusiastic Indians fan even after her move to San Clemente, Calif., where she lived for 33 years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in both Ohio and California. Traveling in her RV, visiting family and friends, seeing sights in all 50 states, was a special joy. She enjoyed time in Colorado as a campground host. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Willoughby and of the PEO Sisterhood in San Clemente. Returning to Ohio to Wesleyan Village, she made countless more friends as she threw herself into a variety of activities and volunteering roles. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence J. and Oriole S. Ahlman; three husbands, Alfred M. Cole, C. Garry Andrews, and Donald D. Cole; daughter Martha Andrews; step-son G. Dean Andrews; sister Jean Tegarty Richmond; brothers Robert S. Ahlman, William C. Ahlman, James F. Ahlman, John D. Ahlman, and Richard T. Ahlman. She is survived by daughter Susan Cole (Hal Taussig) of Philadelphia, Pa.; step-son Crispen D. Cole (Carolina) of Long Beach, Calif.; grandson Benjamin C. Cady; granddaughters, Katherine A. Martin, Karen E. Martin, and Miriam A. Cady; step-granddaughter Ashleigh Cole; three great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Wesleyan Village, 807 West Ave., Elyria. Burial will be at Mentor Cemetery. Donald David “Don” Cole Birth: 24 Nov 1924 Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, USA Death: 24 Apr 2007 Elyria, Lorain County, Ohio, USA Burial: Unknown Memorial #: 106725445 Bio: Donald David "Don" Cole died April 24, 2007 of respiratory problems at the Wesleyan Village, Elyria, Ohio at age 82. He was born November 24, 1924 in Cleveland, OH, the son of William "Alfred" COLE and Mildred F. Meredith. He lived most of his life in the Phoenix, AZ area and moved to Elyria in 2002. He graduated from Mentor High School and worked as a self employed mason most of his life. He enjoyed sailing, flying, camping, traveling and doing minor repairs around his home. For years, Don managed a campground in Colorado. Surviving were his 2nd wife, Marjorie "Marj" Andrews of Weslyan Village, Elyria; son, Crispin "Cris" Cole of Long Beach, CA; granddaughter, Ashleigh Cole of Long Beach, CA and niece, Susan Cole of Philadelphia, PA. Don and his 1st wife, June Cole, divorced. DON COLE'S BROTHER: Ensign Alfred Cole, a US Air Force pilot, died in WW2 on March 22, 1945 at Pearl Harbor, Oahu Island, Hawaii 10 days after his 22nd birthday. His baby daughter, Susan Cole, was born seven months later. His widow was Marjorie (AHLMAN) COLE. DON'S MEMORIAL SERVICE was Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Wesleyan Village, 807 West Avenue, Elyria, OH, Rev.
