    OCCUPATION: Servant [BChR 19]. On 28 July 1635, Philip Nye wrote from England to John Winthrop Jr. and described the bearer of the letter as 'Alexander Winchester Mr. Vane's man' [WP 3:201].
    CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: On 8 November 1635, 'Alexander Winchester servant to our brother Henry Vane' was admitted to Boston church [BChR 19]. On 16 February 1639/40, 'Alexander Winchester' was 'recommended to the Church of Christ at Mount Wollystone' [BChR 27-28]. On 12 July 1640, 'our brother Alexander Winchester upon the desire of the Church of Christ at Mount Woolestone now called Branter is recommended and dismissed unto them for their help in the office of a deacon' [BChR 29].
