Major General Sir Alexander Murray was an officer in the British Army who fought in the Crimean War. His Coat of Arms was described as follows: "Or on a fess between three cross crosslets fitchee gules as many mullets argent"
Sir Alexander Murray Tulloch (1803 – 16 May 1864) was a British soldier and a statistician. He was a Fellow of the Statistical Society and worked with Surgeon-General Henry Marshall and Sir Graham Balfour on army statistics. In the 1850s he went with Sir John McNeill to the Crimea, and worked with Florence Nightingale.
