From conversations with Marion Ballard abt. 1990: she recalled that Alex and Elizabeth moved to Michigan and settled in the Detroit Area. She had heard that Alex had an alcohol problem and may have abandoned the family there. She heard that Elizabeth died at Eloise hospital, the hospital for the poor, abt. January 1936.
