Funeral services wereheld in the Rothville Baptist Church with the Rev. D. D. Reynolds incharge. Burial was in the Rothville Cemetery. He was the son ofRobert J. and Mary Semple, born near Pittsburg, Penn. He came toMissouriin 1868 and was married to Mary Jane Manlove in 1891. Shedied in 1936. They were the parents of four daughters. Miss RuthSemple of thehome and Mrs. Ira Kaye of Sumner and two daughters whopreceded him in death.
