UPTERGROVE- TYPHOID FEVER
This dreadful disease is in the township this fall, and already several deaths have occurred. Miss Maggie McDonald, one of the finest young women, died of it last week, and now her father, Mr. A.P. McDonald is dying of the same disease...

QUAY 3 Millington, November 24. - Died at his daughter's residence on the 19th inst., Alexander McDonald, postmaster at Millington, North Mara, in his 62nd year. His father's family came from Scoatas, a pl ace in Inverness-shire, Scotland, to Glengarry in 1821. From there they moved to the township of Thorah in 1828 and resided at the lakeshore near Beaverton for some time at what was afterwards calle d "Hodgson's place." where the late Alexander McDonald was born. ..
