WIGTOWN or WIGTON is located about 30 miles south of Glasgow, Scotland. The village is located near the North Channel, across from Northern Ireland. It is located about 15 miles north of the Isle of Man.

Dr. J. P. McCallie stated in a letter to Diane (McCallie) Lower, that his nephew S. J. McCallie, Jr., visited the Wigtown area in the summer of 1964, and found some McCallies still living there!
