C. . Alexander Henderson, Jr. Was born in 1752 and died in 1812. He married Sarah DINWIDDIE. Alexander Henderson, Jr. fought in Dunmore's War under Captain Daniel Smith. In 1779 he was quarter master for George Roger Clark at Kaskaskias. (Clark papers at Virginia State Library)
Alexander was a founder, charter member and elder of the old Paint Lick Presbyterian Church in 1784. On May 12, 1781, Alexander was granted 200 acres of land on a branch of Paint Lick Creek.(From Kentucky Entries and Deeds by Jillson.) On May 3, 1794, Alexander Henderson and wife Sarah executed a deed conveying to Robert H. certain lands in Madison County on Paint Lick Creek. On November 3, 1795, John Ried of Lincoln County executed a deed conveying to Alexander Henderson certain lands on Paint Lick Creek.
