1. Note: Alexander was an early pioneer in Gibson County Tennessee. He registered his cattle mark in 1824. In that same year he was one of four men elected to be a Constable for the newly formed County Court. He is on the 1834 Tax list for Gibson County but not the 1835 where his wife Elizabeth is named suggesting that his death occurred in this period.

Believed to be buried in Pruett Cemetery, Gibson County, Tennessee

Information from Frances Pruett Limozaine FTM site: "When he died, his four of his daughters were minors, and in July 1842 Elizabeth Griffin Hamilton assigned guardianship of these minor children to David Porter Hamilton, George Hamilton and John Pruett. An older daughter Mary, had already married Calvin C. Clement.
