Notes for ALEXANDER ANDREWS: Alexander Andrews was one of the executors of Abigail's father's will. He was probably the son of the Andrews for whom Andrews Bridge was named. He was a soldier in the Continental Army.

Alexander and Abigail Guthrie Andrews owned the Guthrie homestead at Andrews Bridge and land enough to have a large farm for themselves after they had given a large farm to each of their two sons. John Guthrie's house was built in 1770 according to the date on the cornerstone.

Alexander and Abigail Guthrie Andrews are buried at Union, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. As he is referred to as Alexander Sr., it is inferred that one of the sons was Alexander Jr.
