Alex T. Nahas, 92, of Virginia Avenue, Shenandoah Heights, died Thursday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Born in Shenandoah, Oct. 30, 1910, he was a son of the late Joseph and Julia Hadad Nahas. He was educated in Shenandoah area schools.
He retired after 40 years as a delivery salesman for Gulf Oil Co.
He was a member of Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah, and a life member of Shenandoah Heights Fire Company.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Davis; two brothers, Edward and Michael; three sisters, Helen Zammer, Josephine Leary and Jennie Mentusky.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, the former Elizabeth Aponick; a son, Thomas R., Schuylkill Haven; a daughter, Louise E. Williams, Shenandoah; a brother, George, Mantua, N.J.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Annunciation BVM Church by the Rev. Richard Brensinger. Interment will be in Annunciation BVM Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
