    Albert Lee Young, 80, of Newbern, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007 at Baptist Hospital-East in Memphis.

    He was a U.S. Postal Service employee in Hayti, Mo., a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.

    Services will be at 10:30 Friday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Dustin Forthum and Bro. Tom Bright officiating. Burial will be in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens.

    The family will receive visitors at 4:30-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

    Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Sue Medlin Young of Newbern; two daughters, Susan Leigh Mulliniks of Hayti, Mo. and Linda Lee Rhodes of Gosnell, Ark.; two sons, Daniel Wayne Young and Robert Eugene Young, both of Newbern; a sister, Ruby Rebecca Young Jones of Caruthersville, Mo.; a brother, Fred Lynn Young of Hillsboro, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Wayne Young; his parents, Elbert Clyde Young and Maudie Mae Griggs Young; a sister, Florence Elizabeth Young Garrow; and a brother, James Wesley Young.

    Pallbearers will be Steve house, Jeff Strawn, Bob Strawn, Curt Medlin, Myron Medlin and Dennis House.
