BIOGRAPHY: Albert Ross Workman retired from Standard Oil Company. He was a member of Central Church of Christ.

OBIT: Albert Ross Workman, 85, of 411 S. Collett, died at 5 a.m. Sunday in St. Rita's Hospital. He was a retired employee of Standard Oil Refinery. Born in Spencerville, August 10, 1881, he was the son of John and Julia Rusk Workman. In 1901, he married Cora B. Patton, and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Orval of Cincinnati, Cloyd (Bus) of 1467 St. John's and Phillip (Pete) of Delphos; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Cleona) Markel of 411 S. Collett and Mrs. Lee (Blanche) Cheney of 865 Berryman; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of Standard Oil Quarter Century Club. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Rev. Norman Hagley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at funeral home.
