[edit] Obituary from Shelby GlobeAlbert E. Rogers, the only child of Andrew J. and Catherine Hammon Rogers was born at Shelby, O., January 25, 1868, and departed this life on August 4, 1930, at Seabeck, Washington. Dr. Rogers was educated in the Shelby public schools, graduating with the class of 1886 of the Shelby high school. In 1896 he received the degree of doctor of medicine from the Starling Medical College, at Columbus, Ohio. Following his graduation from school, he traveled extensively and visited many foreign countries. During the Spanish-American war, he was a practicing physician in Manila, P.I. Later on he was located in the city of Douglas, Alaska, where he pursued his profession for many years. On Thanksgiving Day, November, 1916, he was united in marriage to Miss Frances Jones of Bremerton, Wash., who with their three children survive him. He also leaves to mourn his departure, his stepmother, Mrs. Andrew Rogers and the following half sisters and half brother: Mrs. Ira Brougher and Miss Mamie Rogers, Shelby, and Dr. W. J.
