Albert Parsons was a wonderful father. He graduated from Laconia High School. He then went on to the Boston School of Art where he earned a 2 year degree. After the Korean war started, he volunteered for the Army and served in Korea as a Master Sargeant. Upon his return to the US,e graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, he was a member of Sigma Beta. He met my mother at UNH and they married before she completed her degree. They moved back to Laconia where Al worked at a shoe company and Seeburg Organ Co.. He was laid off when the organ company closed on Laconia rather than move to Chicago and then went thru several temporary jobs before moving to the Keene NH area for a job at Markem.

Then it was time for a career change. Al switched from engineering to education, taught at Mascenic High School and Fall Mountain High School (where he retired from) and completed his MSEd in Vocation Education. He taught drafting, graphic arts and other industrial arts classes.

Unfortunately, after retirement, he was soon diagnosed with bladder cancer, which soon spread. He fought the cancer for 5 long years before he lost his battle.
