"Ellsworth American" May 10, 1933, after several months of poor health, and an operation at the Castine Hospital, died on Friday, May 5, 1933. He was a native of Castine, served in the United States Navy during WW I, and was employed for some years as an engineer on steamboats out of New York. He returned to Castine four years ago and opened up a plumbers shop with h brother Guarddie. He was a member of the I.O.O.F., the S.K. Whiting Chapter, and the O.E.S.. He is survived by his wife, is only brother Guarddie, and a sister Mrs. Dora Elliott of Panama. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Congregational Church, Rev. O.L. Olsen officiating.
