Albert D. "Al" Blystone, 59, of Shelocta, formerly of Putnam, Conn., died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001 at his residence. He was born May 31, 1941 in Plumcreek Township to Owen C. and Dillie A. Leightley Blystone. Mr. Blystone was a truck driver for the Halliburton Co. of Homer City and had previously worked for Belding Hemingway of Putnam, Conn. Survivors include his wife, Edna B. (Mahan) Blystone, whom he married May 3, 1981; three sons, Willard O. Blystone of Mt. Pleasant, and David Paul and Jeffery A. Blystone, both of Scottsdale; two stepsons, Harvey Trimble of Kittanning, and Adam L. Trimble of Shelby, N.C.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Jerry (Sara L.) Matson of Shady Plain; one step-grandson, Mark Trimble; one step-granddaughter, Katie Trimble; one brother, Ronald Blystone of Indiana; and one sister, Mrs. Bruce (Linda) Brier of Putman, Conn. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Albert Delone Blystone, Jr.; three brothers, Donald, Clair, and Raymond Blystone; and two sisters, Ruth Toy and Doris Jean Pierce. Interment will be in Whitesburg Presbyterian Cemetery, Whitesburg, PA.
