Albert F. Atkinson, 87, of 308 S. Sterling died Friday, Dec. 11, 1992, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Born Jan. 6, 1905, in Indianapolis to Louis and Gertrude Harper Atkinson, he married LaNora Goett on Aug. 25, 1933, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Louis, Richard and Paul, all of Peoria; and four daughters, Mrs. John (Kathleen) McHugh of Metamora, Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Driscoll of Peoria, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Quick and Mrs. George (Marilyn) Sullivan, both of Bartonville. One brother preceded him in death.
He was a mail carrier in Peoria for 34 years retiring in 1969. He then worked in maintenance at Security Savings and Loan for 10 years, retiring in 1979.
He was the oldest living Eagle Scout in the Peoria area.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
