Agnes died 22 Jul 1678 Dorchester. "Agnes's maiden surname has not been determined. Francis E. Blake wrote in 2898 that "recent investigations" suggest she may have been the widow of Richard Band and the daughter of Hugh Thorne, whose daugther Agnes was baptized at Pitminster 12 January 1594 (Francis E. Blake, Increase Blake of Boston, His Ancestors and Descendants, with a Full Account of William Blake of Dorchester and his Five Children [Boston: the author, 1898], 12). The baptismal entry exists, but proof of neither of Agnes's alleged marriages has been found. Hugh Thorne was buried at Pitminster 11 May 1617, but no will has been found for him or for Richard Band."
