Robert FARQUHAR of Newhall, Kincardines., was b. 3sep1723, son of William Farquhar and Mary Ross, who married 22aug1721. Robert married (1) Margaret Rose (d. 21apr1750, aged 22) and (2) 17jun1754 Agnes MORISON, daughter of James Morison of Elsick, provost of Aberdeen. Robert d. may1783 (book “Family Record of the name of Dingwall Fordyce”). Robert married Agnes at Aberdeen (IGI). According to obituary of Arthur Farquhar, James Morison of Elisich was provost of Aberdeen in 1745 and distinguished himself by his firm attachment to the house of Brunswick (Gentleman’s Magazine 1843).
