ROME — Agnes B. Mersek, age 65, passed away at her home, Saturday evening, Oct. 20. 2007.
She was born Sept. 7, 1942 in Cleveland, a daughter of James E. and Agnes A. (Dragolich) Lambert. A 1960 graduate of Grand Valley High School, she married David Mersek on May 12, 1972 in Rock Creek.
Agnes was a former Amway distributor and was a Hospice Volunteer.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Rock Creek, the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post #719 in Orwell, and a member and past president of the Alter and Rosary Society. She enjoyed baking and cake decorating.
Agnes is survived by her husband, David; her mother, Agnes Lambert of Rome; brothers, Jim Lambert of Fla., Robert (Deb) Lambert of Rome; and sister, Patricia (Gary) Hunter of Rome.
She is preceded in death by her father and sister, Mary Grim.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 24, 2007, at Sacred Heart Church, 3049 Rt. 45, Rock Creek, with the Rev. Gregory Fedor as celebrant.
Friends and relatives will be received 8 a.m. until the time of the mass on Wednesday morning, at Sacred Heart Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are requested to be given to the Mersek family.
Arrangements are by the PAINE-GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 3119 West Water St., Rock Creek, Ohio.
