" Died May 1, 1999

 RAPID CITY, MICHIGAN -- Agnes E. Van, 79, of Rapid City, died Saturda y at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

"Agnes, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska and Antrim counties, was a reti red bus driver for the Kalkaska public schools. She was affiliated wit h the Rapid City Church of Christ and the Sunshine Guild. A member of t he Rapid City Heritage Society, she also enjoyed volunteering for many a ctivities. Agnes' hobbies included playing cards, painting, crafts and h er family.

Born in Mancelona on February 14, 1920, she was the daughter of Joh n and Salla Hughey Henderson. On Nov. 11, 1937, in Mancelona, she marr ied Herbert L. "Peanut" Van, who preceded her in death on July 13, 1990 .

Survivors include three sons, Richard (Margaret) Van, Herbert M. Va n, and Edward G. Van; two daughters, Sally (James) Dunson and Rhoda Vas her; two brothers, Alton (Dolly) Henderson and Arvid "Zeke" (Pat) Hende rson; a sister, Arthella (Carl) Hinds; 16 grandchildren, Cindy, Van, Je nnifer, Sherri, Terri, Mack, Vickie, Tricia, Christine, Debbie, Becky, D awn, Tina, Tara, James, and Bridgett; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Agnes was also preceded in death by a son, Gregg,a brother Arnold, a nd a sister, Alice...
