Mrs. Henry Birnbaum

Mrs. Henry Birnbaum, 58, Flandreau, S.D., died Tuesday at a Flandreau hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services were 10 am Friday at St. Simon and Jude Catholic church with burial in Flandreau cemetery.

The former Agnes Mary Fitzgerald, she was born Nov. 18, 1912, at Beresford. She moved with her parents to the Chester area in 1920 and graduated from the Chester high school in 1930. She was married Oct. 21, 1931, at Huntimer, S.D. They farmed near Chester until 1941 when they moved to Moody county.

Survivors are [her husband]; three sons, Donald of Redwood Falls, Minn., T.Sgt. Roger of Fort Worth, Tex., and James, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Wheeler of Farwood, N.H.; her mother, Mrs. Catherine Fitzgerald of Riverside, Calif.; two brothers, Gerald of Westminster, Calif., Bert of Palm Springs, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Marcella Plimpton of Chester, Mrs. Lester Frank of Remsen, Mrs. Donald Koenders of Brookings, Mrs. Jack Wiebersch of Riverside, and 10 grandchildren.
