Different records (naturalization, declaration of intent) have a different location, though it is clear that Adolph's last residence before emigrating was in Gradznona where he was a gardener. Since Plok is mentioned as a birth place, that is the location used. He left Bremen on February 10, 1902 on the ship Natzcor, and arrived at New York on March 5, 1902. His petition for naturalization is dated December 31, 1913.

Adolph and Julia were living in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, at the time of Julia's death. Adolph was living on Schaaf Road in Cleveland when his second wife, Martha, died. In the 1930 census he was listed as a gardner.
