OBITUARY ADELINE IRENE RANK nee (O'KONSKI) MARCH 28, 1914 - MARCH 16, 2000

Adeline Irene, nee (O'Konski) Rank, 85, of Kewaunee, died Thursday March 16, 2000. She was born to the late Joseph and Ann (Santroch) O'Konski. She graduated from Dikeman School in 1920 and Kewaunee High School in 1931 and completed her degree in education at Silver Lake College in 1965. She married Raymond Rank on June 10, 1936, at Hedwigs Church in east Krok. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1991. She taught school for 23 years at various locations in Kewaunee County, at one time she taught all eight grade. Adeline was named principal twice, for Slovan and Carlton grade schools. Adeline was a past president of the Kewaunee High School Band Parents, secretary of the Golden Age Club and Golden Tones. She was also an active volunteer at Holy Rosary Parish and the senior center in Kewaunee. Survivors include: five children, Ronald Rank, St Charles, IL; Sharon (Tom) Knoop, Madison; Allen (Mary Gaye) Rank, Kewaunee; David (Judy) Rank, West Bend; Kathie (Mike) Nabielski, Fairbanks, Alaska; 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren; one sister, Violet Muchowski, Kewaunee; three sisters-in-law, Irene Rank, Luxemburg; Anna Rank, New Franken; Josephine O'Konski, Kewaunee. She is preceded in death by one Grandson, Tyler Rank, three brothers, Joseph, George, and Edward O'Konski, one sister, Lillian Krueger, five brothers-in-law, Andrew Krueger and Louis Muchowski, Felix, Fabian, and Mike Rank; and two sisters-in-law;Otilla O'Konski and Pauline Rank. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at the Buchannan Funeral Home. Funeral 4 p.m. Monday March 20th at Holy Rosary Church with the Rev. Daniel DeWane officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
