Pulaski Democrat, 26 Feb 1908: RICARD-- A.E. Spink, while moving a load of hay last Friday, had the misfortune to tip over and receive severe injuries about his head and shoulders.

Pulaski Democrat, 10 June 1908: RICARD-- A.E. Spink, who has been in very poor health since last February, passed peacefully away Tuesday afternoon June 2. His funeral, which was held in the Ricard church Thursday afternoon, was largely attended, Rev. West of the Presbyterian church at Williamstown officiating. Mr. Spink was 59 years of age.

Oswego Daily Times, 29 July 1908: ...Before Surrogate Miller yesterday a proceeding was had in the matter of the estate of Adelbert Spink, late of Williamstown, a son of the deceased, H.D. Spink of Kasoag, petitioning for the removal as administratrix of Ellen B. Spink, alleging that she was not the lawful wife of Adelbert Spink. A number of witnesses were examined and the proceeding adjourned until Friday...

Oswego Daily Palladium, 24 Nov 1908: BEFORE THE SURROGATE ...Surrogate Miller has also dismissed the petition of Henry D. Spink to have revoked letters of administration granted to Ellen R. Spink on the estate of Adelbert Spink, late of Orwell, on the ground that she was never his legal wife. The petitioner was a son. The Court holds that while there was never a ceremony performed making decedent and Ellen Spink man and wife, they had contracted to live as such and that she was the widow of the deceased.
