Overview

The first record of Adam Russell Walker is in Jefferson County, Kentucky Tax records in 1812[1]. He fought in the War of 1812 under Captain William Keller's Company[2] who recruited militiamen from the Louisville, Kentucky area. He later moved to Grant County, Kentucky[3] and later to Boone County, Indiana[4]. While there are no direct surviving records of his parents, YDNA evidence suggests John Walker who lived in Jefferson County, Kentucky was a relative. However, new evidence suggests John was not the father but instead Joseph Walker of Bath County, Kentucky was the parent.
