K Unit 642 Enlisted as a Private on August 20, 1862, in Company K, 86th Infantry Regiment Indiana. Mustered out on June 6, 1865 in Nashville, TN. Husband of Mary Elizabeth (Jackson), father of Etta Alice & Nancy Jane Walker, son of John & Margaret "Maggie" (Haywood) Walker. "He was a member of the New Light Christian Church and has been a faithful Christian worker and died praising God, ready and willing to go to his eternal home.
