- ↑ "Adam Luckhaupt was born in Germany on November 2nd, 1809, and at the ageof fourteen years he spent ninety days in crossing the Atlantic on aSailing vessel. His wife was born in Germany on October 26th, 1817, andcame to America at the age of about nine years. In 1854 they completedthe Luckhaupt home on the National Road."
