Adam Kendig was the son of Jacob kendig woh deeded 163 acres in Conestoga Township, Lancaster County , to his son Adam for "ntural love and affection and five shillings." Between 1759-1763 Adam Kendig married his third cousin Alice Kendig the widow of John Groff. Adam and Alice had a son Christian Kendig who married Babara Mylin and a daughter Anna Kendig who married Jacob Bare.
