I desire that my land I purchased from William Basset containing thirty-six and a half (acres) be sold, secondly after the payment of debts I give to my wife Margaret Harpole one-third part of my estate both real and personal during the time she remains my widow and afterward to be left to the son of my son Nicholas Harpole.
Thirdly, I give to my son Nicholas Harpold the remainder of my plantation I now live on and to possess. the same for him and his heirs forever more.
Fourthly, he pays to my other five sons, Daniel Harpole, John Harpole, Adam Harpold, Solomon Harpold, and Absolom Harpold, Eighteen pounds each with a reasonable reduction for paying their schooling and like wise to my daughter Susanna twelve pounds and her learning expenses to be paid out of the same and provided Nicholas Harpold does not see cause to take that land then the same to be sold and be equally divided amongst my sons not interfering with my wife's part above mentioned and my daughter to receive above mentioned sum....
I give to my daughter Barbara Bonnett one dollar hereby knowing all other as former wills or testaments by me heretofore made in writings whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty-fourth day of June one thousand eight hundred and two.
