    Abraham Klingensmith was born in the State of Pa, at 35 years of age 5'5, tan complexion, dark eyes, Dark hair. He was a miner when enfolled. Given at Fort Ethen Allen this 13th day of June 1865.

    I Abraham Klingensmith ( of John ) born in Armstrong Co. the State of Pennsylvania aged 35 years, and by occupation a Minor, DO HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE to have volunteered this 1st day of September, 1864, to serve as a Soldier in the Army of the United States of America, for the period of ONE YEAR unless sooner discharged by proper authority; Do also agree to accept such bounty, pay, rations, and clothing, as are, or may be, established by law for volunteers. And I, Abraham Klingensmith do solemnly swear, that I will serve them honestly and faithfully against all their enemies of opposers whomsoever: and that I will observe and obey the orders of the President of the United States, and the orders of the offices appointed over me, according to the Rules and Articles of War.
