    Abraham and Nancy Heard left Georgia and moved to McMinn County, Tennessee.

    Abraham took up 1,280 acres of land on the Savannah River in the spring of 1822, but in June he was killed by an Indian, and his widow received the land grant.

    The farm is now called Savannah Farm.
