- 3 March 1779 - Land Grant, State of North Carolina, No. 6 to George Black of Cane Creek, 600 acres on Cane Creek adjoining Abraham Fulkerson, Daniel Duncan, Francis Wright, Hugh McKain, John Black and crossing Cane Creek. [Caswell County Deed Book A, page 130].
- June 1779 - Power of attorney to Abraham Fulkerson to convey land of John Irvin in Caswell County, adjoining Abraham Fulkerson, George Black and others. [Caswell County Court, June 1779, Book A, page 79].
- 11 Oct 1779 - Power of attorney from George Black to Abraham Fulkerson to execute a deed to Josiah Cole for land on Cane Creek, Caswell County. Recorded Caswell County Court, Jan 1785, Book B, page 67.
- 9 Aug 1780 - Robert Black, Caswell County, Last Will and Testament. Names his wife Elizabeth; sons George, Henry, John Black "who is my heir at law" [does this mean the eldest son's birthright?]; youngest son Thomas Black; daughter Elizabeth Fulkerson; Executors are son Henry Black and son-in-law Abraham Fulkerson.
