When he was 4 days old he was very ill so he was christening in his parents house by Moravian minster. He was only member of United Brethren or Moravian in his family but his Aunt Lydia was also Moravian, who married to Abraham Collins. He was farmer and colliery proprioter from 1871 to 1899 in Netherton. Buried at Moravian Chapelyard on 10th December 1899.
