Birthdate of Abraham Beery

Some publications, including "History of the Descendants of Abraham Beery", by Joseph H. Wenger, claim that Abraham Beery was born 1718 in Switzerland and arrived in Pennsylvania on 19 October 1736, at age 18, which appears to be based perhaps on "family tradition", rather than facts and/or sources.

The Father of Abraham, Nicholas "Piere" (Beery) is listed on the ship records of the "Friendship", which sailed from Rotterdam and arrived in Philadelphia on 16 October 1727. With Nicholas Beery's approximate birthdate of 1704, and marriage date in 1728, it is "very unlikely" that Abraham could have been born in 1718.
