Will Abstract

Will of Abraham Aughe of the County of Augusta and State of Virginia
I give all my Estate real & personal to my beloved wife Barbary during her life. I now give to my wife Barbara one negro girl named Rachel to dispose of as she sees proper. And after her death to be dispose[d] of in manner following: that is to say all the balance of my Estate of whatsoever kind it may be to be sold by my Executurs herein after to be named allowing & any ___ the priviledge of chooseing there Masters? & the proceeds is to go to Abraham Aughe the son of John F. Aughe.
Lastly I do hereby ponetitite? and appoint my friend [Jacob] Rusk and John Rusk Executors of this my last will & [testament] hereby revoking all other or former wills or Testament by me heretofore made.
In witness whereof I have unto set my hand and affixed my seal the fourth day of December 1837.

Augusta County Court June Term 1842
This last will and Testament of Abraham Aughe dec'd was presented in Court and proved by the oath of J.S. [or L.S.] Bush one of the subscribing witnesses thereto and Joseph Peck the other sucscribing witnesses having departed his life & the signature purporting to be his proved by the oath of said Bush to be genuine it is ordered that the said will be recorded as the true last will & Testament of said Abraham Aughe Dec'd adn on the motion of Jacob Rusk and John Rusk the Executors therein named who made oath according to Law and with Alsrnore S. Gray? their securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of fourteen thousand dollars conditioned as the law requires which bond is ordered to be recorded Certificate is Granted the said Jacob Rusk & John Ruck for obtaining a probat of said will in due form.
