  4. Source:Draper, Thomas Waln-Morgan. Bemis History and Genealogy : Being an Account, in Greater Part of the Descendants of Joseph Bemis of Watertown, Mass, p. 199 says Edmund Bemis married "Mrs. Abigail (Nichols) Cutting", but the marriage record gives her name as Abigail Gilbert. Her daughter married David Cutting, and possibly some document showed a daughter named Sarah Cutting, causing an incorrect assumption about the surname of her first husband?
