"Mother Wells Died March 1797. Aged 82 years old."

  2. Based on the order named in her father's will, Abigail was the youngest surviving daughter. She probably belongs to the second wife, but no recorded birth is found. The birth date from the account book causes her birth to precede the unjustified marriage date of her father and 2nd wife which is asserted by Sheldon. (Presumably Sheldon was guessing based on Thomas' birth in 1718, assuming him to be older than Abigail, but taking Sheldon's assertion at face value, this could raise the possibility of a middle wife from 1707 when his first wife died to 1717 when Sheldon says her married his second wife. Seems unlikely.)

Sheldon says she d. 1800 a. 92 (born about 1708) which is pretty much incompatible with a child born 1756, and assuming the account book is valid, clearly refuted by it. This appears to be based on a record that only says Widow Wells died 1800 age 92 without identifying husband or wife, so again, presumably a guess by Sheldon.
