DEATH: Genealogy of the Descendants of Anthony Collamer of Scituate, Massachusetts By Charles Hatch Newcomb & Gauss, Publishers Salem, Mass 1915 - Page 35 Peter Collamore's wife (Abigail) inherited property from her father (Tobias Davis of New Roxbury), which she bequeathed by will to her descendants. The names Abigail and Davis have been perpetuated in the Collamore families from her day to the present generation.

Will of Abigail Davis Collamore

  In the name of God, Amen. - The 21st day of April anno domini 1750-I, Abigail Collamer of Scituate in the county of Plymouth in New England Widow & Relect of Mr. Peter Collamer Late of Scituate Dec. being aged & Infirm of Body but of sound mind and memory-Do make this my last Will & Testament. First---I recommend by Soul to God that gave it and my Body to the Earth to Desent Burial at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter named & Touching my wordly Goods I devise of the same manner Following that is to say---
  Item-I give & bequeath unto my sons John Isaac & Thomas Collamer & my Daughters Mary C., their heirs and assigns forever all my Land or rights of Land Lying and being at a place called New Roxbury to be Equally Divided among them they paying to my two Daughters Abigail Bourne and Sarah Curtis to each of them the sum of two pound and 10 shillings in Silver money at 6 shillings and Eight pence to pay One year after my Decease.
  Item-I give to my daughter Mary Collamer my Gold Necklace & my silver Thimble and all my wearing Clothes and suits of Curtains.
  Item-I give to my daughter Abigail Bourne 2 pounds & ten shillings in silver money at 6 shillings & 8 pence to Ounce in one year after my decease to be by John Isaac Thomas & Mary Collamer.
  Item-I give to my daughter Sarah Curtis the above mentioned sum of 2 pounds 10 shillings in silver money at 6 shillings & 8 pence to be paid in one year after my decease by John Isaax Thomas & Mary Collm.
  Item-I give to my grandchildren the children of my son Anthony Decd each of them a Gold ring & each of them the ring with the posey, Abigail Collamer upon it, to be given to them as they shall come of age by my Exec.
  Item-I give to my Grandson Davis Collamer my Gold Buttons.
  Item-I give to my Exec all the Rest of my Estate which is not before given away in my Will.
  And Lastly, I do hereby appoint my said son John Sole Executor of this, my Last Will in Witness Whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & Seal the day and Year.

    1684 M 3 d 11 - Abigal Davis - received to take hold on the covenant [Doc. 114, p. 97]. 1684 M 2 D 13 - Abigail Davis - received to take hold on the Covenant. We do not understand this apparent, second entry a month later. We know of no other Abigail Davis in Roxbury at this time.
    Abigail (Davis) Collamore was on June 5, 1717 the only surviving executor of her father's will.
