    [Note the inscription for Sally Collins Whitney, wife of Joseph, son of Abigail, says "erected to the memory of His Father and Mother by their only child", i.e., by a grandchild of Abigail after the fact. Her actual burial is elsewhere, probably in Castine where her husband was buried.]
