link On 19 December 1632, Rhoda Colburn of Roxbury, widow of John Colburn weaver deceased, was granted administration on her husbands estate. The same day, Rhoda Colburn, widow, Samuel Lyon, mason, and Benja. Smith, yeoman, all of Roxbury made bond on the administration of the estate of John Colburn late of Roxbury, weaver, deceased. Rhoda Colburn administratrix, an inventory ordered to be made by 19 March.
On 12 March 1762, John Colburn's estate was ordered to be divided. One fourth to Deborah Colburn, one fourth to the heirs of Rhoda Whiting, one fourth to the heirs of Abigail Baker dec'd, and one fourth to the heirs of Mary Richards. The real estate of John Colburn, lately improved by his widow now deceased (the other 2/3 being distributed previously). A house lot in Roxbury with 6 acres and other small parcels to the heirs of Rhoda Whiting deceased. To Deborah Colburn five acres in Roxbury and half the dwelling house upon it. To the heirs of Abigail Baker about 10 acres of the great pasture in Dedham on the Charles River, and a parcel called Candlewood Hill in Newton of 5 acres. To the heirs of Mary Richards a parcel of five acres in Newtown called Cow Island on Nath'l Pond and £36. The agreement submitted 27 April 1762, and agreed to by Jeremiah Richards, Barachiah Lewis, Sam'l Dwight, Joshua Pond, John Jones, and approved by the court on 12 August 1763.
