Shubael Waldo m. 14 Oct 1730 Abigail Allen, b. East Bridgewater 1712, d. Shaftsbury, VT, 6 Sep 1799 [at house of son Abiather]. Gravestone: "In memory / of Mrs Abigail / wife of / Mr Shubel Waldo / who / died Sep 6 1799 / in the / 88 year of her / age".
↑ Note: Abigail (Allen) Waldo is called a granddaughter in Samuel Allen's will and so is the child of one of his sons. His son Samuel would have been old enough to have children by 1712 and died 1735 which would explain Abigail's mention in her grandfather's will. The son's probate unfortunately is too sparse to give any clues.
